Soul to Sole Spa at 2265 Westwood Blvd. LA 90064 (South of Olympic on the West side)      310-474-9060   Ask for Andrew
Like most good things in life, I stumbled into this little piece of heaven, accidentally.  After struggling to tutor my daughter in math, I finally gave up my managing and controlling and brought her to Mathnasium. When I dropped her off, we were both relieved. Surrender - What a concept!  Well, I didn't want to hover so I sashayed my butt out the door and headed North on Westwood Blvd. After a mere 25 steps I was beckoned by the signs, pinwheels and Vegas style lights at the Soul to Sole Spa.
The place was (and still is) shockingly clean with pale pink walls. The faint smell of bleach mixed with laundry detergent confirmed its cleanliness. In this peaceful, open room, there are about 12 chairs which are more like reclining twin mattresses( with ottomans).  With the right amount of folded towels and/or pillows, you will find your very own comfort spot.  There is a flat screen TV on the wall (I Love Lucy reruns with subtitles), for those of you who refuse to relax. For the rest of us, we use our eyelids. And if you're really anti-social then this is the perfect place for you! Most of the women speak little or no English which means you won't feel guilty not talking to them.
Your treatment starts with a Chinese Herbal foot bath (in plastic-lined pails for sanitary reasons).  While soaking, you will get a 20 minute ("heads, shoulders, knees and toes - o.k., just joking)" head, neck, shoulder and arm rub followed by calves and feet, only to be gently flipped over for the remainder of your neglected body parts.  A one hour treatment is only $20!  This is their special, introductory price. When business picks up, it will likely go up to a whooping $25,  which is still a phenominal deal (and cheaper than a bad movie).
Perhaps the best thing about this Spa is that you remain fully clothed for your massage, which is a plus for my more modest friends. For that reason, it is also an appropriate place for kids to come with their moms. I brought my 10 year old daughter and my 13 year old niece, and they LOVED their little treat.  There is a private room in the back for people who prefer a typical, unclothed massage.
Andrew, the owner, will be happy to set up a private spa party, with enough advanced notice.  It is a perfect spot for a wedding shower, teen birthday or moms' night out (BYOB). Go ahead, let everyone else get stuck in traffic while you relax for an hour before heading home to 12 screaming kids and a hungry husband.
Bring ca$h for your splurge.  Shockingly low prices are $15/30 min., $20-25/60min., $35/90min, and $45/2hrs. (who can sit that long?).
During prime time, it is recommended you call and set up your appointment with your desired masseuse.  There are a couple of males but mostly women.
My new favorite foot spa is Soul to Sole. If I had an allowance, I'd spend it ALL here!
Tell Andrew that I sent you ;-D
